Carrolup Settlement

The Carrolup Settlement database is a name index to some of the people who were admitted to the Carrolup Settlement, and a register of deaths and burials. It was produced by AHWA in partnership with Yorgum to help people seeking to learn more about their family histories.

Perth and Swan Orphanages and Missions Name Index

A name index of children of Aboriginal descent admitted to the Perth and Swan orphanages and missions between 1871 and 1920.

Gnarla Booja Mili Mili

An online interactive map acknowledging the names of Noongar places throughout the Perth CBD area, also known as Boorlo or Burrell in the Noongar language.

Norman Tindale Collection

An index for Aboriginal family history researchers to the genealogies and photographs collected by Norman Tindale, Joseph Birdsell and Phillip Epling in Western Australia 1935 to 1966.

Moore River Native Settlement Burial Register

The Moore River Native Settlement is an historically significant place for Aboriginal people throughout the State. Many were or have family who resided at the former settlement or have relatives that are buried there. The burial index provides a comprehensive database of the individuals buried at the Moore River Native Cemetery.

Reconciliation Week street banner project

Reconciliation Week is celebrated from 27 May to 3 June each year. To acknowledge Reconciliation Week, the department coordinates the Street Banner Project which promotes reconciliation through banners, sponsored by organisations, being placed in prominent locations across Western Australia.
