Arts program to build capacity of outer metro Perth
Perth's outer metropolitan communities will have more opportunities to participate in high-quality arts and cultural experiences thanks to a new pilot program opening next month.
The Outer Metro Arts Grant Program provides up to $50,000 for targeted local governments to partner with State funded arts entities and/or community organisations in presenting a broad range of activities.
The program complements local creative strengths and existing programs to increase participation and relevance to the local community.
Projects will support professional development opportunities for local artists, build capacity within the local government and contribute to the liveability of outer metropolitan Perth.
Local governments invited to apply to the pilot are the cities of Wanneroo; Swan; Kalamunda; Armadale; Kwinana; Rockingham, and the shires of Serpentine-Jarrahdale and Mundaring.
