Easing of restrictions – Council meetings update
The State Government has announced Phase 4 Easing of Restrictions, introduced on 27 June and removing existing gathering limits.
With the introduction of Phase 4, all existing gathering limits and the 100/300
rule have now been removed.
Physical distancing measures still apply. All attendees at council meetings are required to comply with
the 2 square metres per person rule.
Ensure seating is appropriately arranged to give every person 2
square metres and if greater access for the public is needed, consider
broadcasting the meeting to another room. This room must also allow for 2
square metres per person.
If your venue
cannot accommodate all council members and necessary officers, you could
consider a mixture of in-person and electronic attendance until further
restrictions are eased.
