Recovery continues with fast-tracked community sports grants
The McGowan Government has given sport and active recreation infrastructure projects in regional Western Australia a $5.5 million funding boost, supporting WA's COVID-19 recovery and creating jobs.

The funding, through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund's (CSRFF) Annual and Forward Planning grants program, will be shared among 13 regional organisations for local projects.
It is part of an investment of more than $10 million to be shared among 33 local not-for-profit sport, recreation and community groups, and local governments across WA.
Three projects in regional and remote Aboriginal communities will share in $1.75 million of the funding for priority projects.
The CSRFF enables eligible organisations to develop basic, sustainable infrastructure to increase participation in sport.
Earlier this year, the McGowan Government brought the CSRFF funding process forward by three months to expedite the approved infrastructure projects and support WA's economic recovery.
The State Government administers the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund program through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
