Cricket's greatest rivalry is set to return to Perth following today's announcement that Optus Stadium will host the fifth Ashes Test between Australia and England from January 14 to 18 next year.

  • Stadium's inaugural Ashes Test confirmed for January 2022.
  • Cricket lovers urged to turn out in numbers to Perth's blockbuster international fixtures for 2021-22 season.

The Ashes Test is the headline international fixture for the 2021-22 season, which also includes a One Day International against New Zealand on January 30 at Optus Stadium.

Western Australian cricket fans are urged to turn out in force for the upcoming international fixtures at the WACA and Optus Stadium.

Cricket Australia has factored in quarantine periods for all international series in its 2021-22 fixtures and, subject to health advice, events are expected to proceed in line with COVID health guidelines.

Certain indoor and outdoor venues with ticketed fixed seating — such as Optus Stadium — are able to operate at 100 percent of its fixed seating capacity under the current COVID-19 health guidelines.
