The $5 million Creative Communities COVID-19 Recovery Program is available for artist-in-residence projects. Projects must engage communities and are delivered with a local government, school or not-for-profit community organisations.

Launched in August 2020, the program is part of the State Government’s $76 million WA Recovery Plan, which is delivered by the DLGSC and Lotterywest.

It demonstrates the State Government’s recognition of the significant role arts play in supporting vibrant communities. The program aims to re-establish local connection, strength and resilience following COVID-19 pandemic disruptions to communities.

The program will end once the residency category funds run out. Here is a summary of the residency category:

  • up to $30,000 avaliable
  • supports residencies of at least four weeks
  • minimum 25 business days before project starts
  • quick turn-around assessment.

If you have a project in mind, please submit your application as soon as possible.
