Study a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership and Management
In partnership with Edith Cowan University, Local Government Professionals WA is excited to announce the launch of a new postgraduate qualification program.
The program is a great opportunity for executive leaders in the sector to raise their professional status and enhance their skill set.
Tailored for local government officers
The course consists of existing MBA units adapted to local government circumstances and needs and will be delivered through a hybrid of online material and activities, and on-campus blocks of teaching for each unit, covering:
- managing people and organisations
- responsible management
- leadership and change.
Content delivery will reflect an experiential learning philosophy, emphasising the discussion of ideas and activities and their application in actual work projects. Attention will be paid to how this learning translates into work-like in the organisation.
Course details
The course will run from the start of May 2022 (with orientation in late April) through to December 2022, with enrolments now open. Assessment will be based on assignments, projects, case studies and reflections.
10% scholarship available for LG Professionals WA Members
We are also excited to announce that financial members of LG Professionals WA are eligible for a 10% scholarship (terms and conditions apply).
Participants of the program will graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership
and Management. Officers without a degree qualification can participate through a verified, applicable sector experience of more than five years.
