South Mandurah club supporting tennis for all
The South Mandurah Tennis Club recently worked with local disability services providers and education support schools to set up the Tennis For All program.
With the support of an Active Regional Communities grant, Tennis For All provides opportunities for people with a disability to play tennis and enjoy the benefits of active sport and recreation.
The success of Tennis For All didn’t gone unnoticed – the program was a finalist at the recent Mandurah Sports Awards in the Inclusion Program or Event category.
The all-abilities tennis program is run by head coach Belinda Devine (pictured right) with the assistance of club volunteer coaches.
Tennis West also recently released a video (featuring Tennis For All) in celebration of International Day of People with Disability and the vital role of the sport in connecting people with communities.
