State Government raises curtain on $69,000 Theatre Kimberley grant
Roll up! Roll up! The Culture and the Arts Minister has presented a $69,060 Lotterywest grant to the spectacular Theatre Kimberley.
- $69,000 Lotterywest grant will support delivery of workshops and performances.
- Brings total State Government funding to more than $278,000 since January 2021.
- Funding will go towards stage and circus equipment and volunteer toolkit.
The funding will be used to purchase new circus and stage equipment so Theatre Kimberley can continue to build thriving, creative, connected regional communities.
It will also go towards the delivery of workshops and performances, development of a volunteer toolkit and corporate governance training.
For more than 25 years the beloved Theatre Kimberley has created high-quality arts opportunities with and for Kimberley communities, including performing arts outreach programs and the popular Sandfly Circus classes for students in kindy to year 12.
This latest Lotterywest grant brings its total amount in State Government funding to more than $278,000 since January 2021.
The organisation is supported annually through the Regional Arts Sector Investment Program, receiving $150,000 funding over 2.5 years. Earlier this month it also received a $59,999 grant through the Arts 15k-plus grant program administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries Culture and the Arts team.
