Waroona Railside Park brings community together
The new $4.4 million Waroona Railside Park has been officially opened.
The park is a multipurpose, inclusive space for all ages and abilities, featuring a skatepark and pump track, playgrounds and park amenities including barbeques, shade, rest areas and RV parking.
It also features ample event and green spaces, the 'Noongar Maar-keny Bonar Six Seasons Garden' plus other arts and heritage installations from the community.
The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is thrilled to have supported the project with a $248,000 grant via our Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund.
A community celebration will be held in early February 2024 with food trucks, live music, skateboarding demonstrations, face painting and kids’ activities. More information is available on the Shire of Waroona website.
