Aboriginal cultural understanding is coming to more classrooms across WA schools, with cultural initiatives receiving support through the WA Government’s Partnership Acceptance Learning Sharing (PALS) program.

The 2024–25 Term 4 round of the PALS program will see 21 WA schools share $88,608 in grants.

This funding aims to promote and advance reconciliation in WA schools, by supporting initiatives that enhance the education and understanding of Aboriginal cultures, achievements and histories.

These initiatives help students, teachers and school communities gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and diversity of Aboriginal people, which is key to recognising our shared histories and unified futures.

Administered by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the Term 1 2025 round of the PALS program opens 30 January 2025, closing 27 March 2025.
