Appeal by Chairman of Stewards against the determination of the Committee of the WATA to vary a penalty of 12 months disqualification imposed by the Stewards on Mr L Emmett for breach of Rule 231 to a fine of $1000, $500 of which was suspended for 12 months, subject to good behaviour. Appeal conceded by Committee on the basis that it had no power to hear an appeal that was currently before the Tribunal. Refer Appeal 548.
