Ready to develop your facilitation skills?

Expressions of interest are now open for the Facilitation Skills workshop

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) invite you to express your interest in the free ASC Facilitation Skills training.

  • Development opportunity including eLearning course (90 minutes) and face to face workshop (1 day).
  • Explore facilitation skills and strategies to accelerate learning in face-to-face courses or workshops.
  • Learn how to design, plan and deliver learning activities that engage participants using learner-centred teaching methods.

Workshop Overview

In the 1-day workshop, participants will:

  • explore Amy Edmondson’s Psychological Safety model and how it applies to learning environment design
  • bring the LEARNS framework to life to reflect on and design a learner-centred workshop experience
  • practice facilitation of conversations for learning.

Target

This development opportunity is relevant to:

  • face-to-face workshop or course presenters
  • facilitators of social learning or communities of practice
  • State Sport Organisation Training Managers invited to attend in either an active or observer role.

Due to the highly practical nature of the session, the face-to-face workshop will not have a virtual attendance option.

This will be an expression of interest process closing Thursday 1 May. The outcome will be advised on Thursday 8 May.
