Playing a sport brings more than physical health — it helps kids to realise their potential, build confidence, learn new skills and make friends. Every child deserves to take part in sport, regardless of their circumstances, ability or where they come from.
KidSport has been supporting Western Australian children to participate in community sport since 2011. In the past 10 years, more than $36 million has supported 100,000+ kids to help pay club fees. That equates to more than 245,000 KidSport vouchers.
In 2021 we celebrate 10 years of KidSport by looking at the benefits to some former and current recipients — our KidSport champions.
The success of KidSport is due to the partnership between State Government, local governments, state sporting associations, sporting clubs and organisations across WA.
