The awards are a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their talents to the broader industry and public, and provides important networking and professional development opportunities.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 6 September at new entertainment venue Freo.Social. Ten awards across a range of categories are up for grabs, including Best Song, Album, and Male and Female artists.
A total of $50,000 has been invested in the NAIDOC Music Awards through the Contemporary Music Fund. Support for Aboriginal musicians is a key part of the Fund which will deliver $3 million into WA’s contemporary music sector over four years.
