  • Thirty-three sport and recreation projects to share in $12 million fund to improve community infrastructure, including $5.5 million in regional WA
  • Regional and remote projects to benefit Aboriginal communities
  • Projects fast tracked to aid COVID recovery 

The funding, through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund's (CSRFF) Annual and Forward Planning grants program, will be shared among 13 regional organisations for local projects. 

It is part of an investment of more than $10 million to be shared among 33 local not-for-profit sport, recreation and community groups, and local governments across WA.

Three projects in regional and remote Aboriginal communities will share in $1.75 million of the funding for priority projects. 

The CSRFF enables eligible organisations to develop basic, sustainable infrastructure to increase participation in sport. 

Earlier this year, the McGowan Government brought the CSRFF funding process forward by three months to expedite the approved infrastructure projects and support WA's economic recovery.

The State Government administers the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund program through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
