Based in Broome, Marrugeku is dedicated to Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians working together to develop new dance languages.
Organisations in the NPAP are presenters and producers of large-scale work, are considerable employers and contributors to their local economies and have an important role to play in the development of audiences and artists.
The company has had significant reach both nationally and internationally by sharing its unique approach to contemporary dance.
The framework is funded by State Governments in partnership with the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts.
Other NPAP organisations include West Australian Ballet, West Australian Opera, Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and Black Swan State Theatre Company.
