  • Three regional grants programs opening in July 2021 as part of the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program
  • Funding to support WA's vibrant regional culture and arts sector

The State Government will open three culture and arts grants programs on July 27, 2021 as part of the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program (RACIP), providing a funding boost to regional Western Australia's vibrant culture and arts sector.

The Leveraged Creative and Cultural Planning program makes grants up to $50,000 available to local governments that wish to develop a creative and cultural plan, or revise an existing plan. Up to $25,000 is available to local governments to implement arts and cultural activities already identified in a published creative and cultural plan.

The Community Participation and Inclusion Program makes up to $80,000 available to WA based organisations, individuals and groups to deliver activities that support access to, and participation in, arts and culture for and with people from diverse backgrounds in regional WA.

The Regional and Remote Festivals Fund offers up to $50,000 to support the presentation of arts and cultural activities at regional and remote festivals. The funding may assist with expenses such as travel, accommodation, salary, equipment hire or the delivery of community engagement activities as part of a festival.

The RACIP will provide almost $20 million over four years to regional WA.

All three grants programs open on July 27, 2021 and close on September 9, 2021, for activity starting on or after January 1, 2022.
