Intro

This will help ensure thousands of Western Australians have access to sustainable, good quality and well-designed facilities that are useable day and night.

Regional communities will benefit from 15 projects approved for funding, including $243,000 towards the redevelopment of facilities at Rover Football Club in Geraldton.

Other approved projects include:

  • Kimberley: $595,758 towards upgrading turf and irrigation at Halls Creek Oval
  • Great Southern: $447,333 towards construction of six tennis courts at Centennial Park Sporting Precinct, Albany
  • Pilbara: $421,245 towards construction of a Rage Cage in Nullagine
  • Goldfields: $100,000 towards upgrading floodlighting at Esperance Football and Sporting Club
  • Metropolitan: $620,000 towards upgrading changerooms at Melville Reserve; $809,784 towards the redevelopment of Morgan Park Pavilion, Armadale; $375,061 towards upgrading floodlighting at Butlers Reserve, Scarborough.

Funding falls under the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) and Club Night Lights Program (CNLP). Both aim to increase participation in sport and recreation.
