Matilda's powerhouse and football sensation Samantha Kerr has etched her name in Western Australian sports history, clinching the WA Sports Star Award for the third time. 

Kerr now joins an elite group of sporting legends, placing her alongside icons such as Ric Charlesworth, Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh, and Margaret Court who have also won the award three times. 

Troy Kirkham, from the WA Football Commission, was named Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries Administrator of the Year.  

Serving as Executive Manager of Game Development and Community, Troy played a pivotal role in developing programs and initiatives for the AFL community and actively contributed to various committees and groups, including Women of Sport Network Advisory Group, Mental Health Sport Advisory Group, True Sport Advisory Group, Concussion in Sport Advisory Group, Australian Sports Commission Expert Project Working Group and the West Australian Institute of Sport Stronger Pathways Steering Group.

In other categories, Swimmer Iona Anderson received the rebel WA Junior Sports Star Award after an outstanding year which included a gold and two silver medals at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha. 

Cricket coach Adam Voges claimed back-to-back Coach of the Year honours, guiding the WA Men's Cricket Team and Perth Scorchers to defend their Big Bash, Sheffield Shield, and Marsh One-Day Cup titles.
