The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) hosts the State Cultural Treasures Awards.
The Awards aim to recognise and reward artists whose work and careers have provided a long-lasting legacy to WAβs arts and cultural landscape. They recognise skill, creativity, imagination and originality of senior artistsβ in their respective fields. Often, recipients have served as mentors by passing on their knowledge to the next generation of artists.
The State Cultural Treasures Awards are a fantastic way to show our deepest gratitude and appreciation for outstanding senior WA artists. To recognise their extraordinary talent and profound contribution to the communities in which they have created, worked, and lived.
If you know of an incredible artist who is deserving of this honour, nominate them before 7 August 2024.
The 2024 State Cultural Treasures Awards are due to take place later this year.
