From 1 July 2025, the WA Government will invest an additional $2.75 million to the WA contemporary music sector through to 2029. This includes a $1.5 million increase to competitive Contemporary Music Fund grants.
The new Contemporary Music Fund (CMF) Development Program supports professional development, recording and promotion, and national, regional and international touring/showcasing opportunities for WA musicians and music industry professionals.
WA musicians and music industry professionals can apply for up to $20,000 to take up career defining opportunities.
The CMF Development Program is open from 8 July to 4 December 2025.
