Since its appointment on April 24, 2018 the inquiry has undertaken a significant number of public and private hearings into serious matters of governance and administration.

 

The City of Perth inquiry report was due to be delivered on April 30, 2020.

 

However, COVID-19 measures have directly impacted on the inquiry's work and resulted in the Inquirer requiring more time to finalise the report.

 

To allow the inquiry to finalise processes and deliver a thorough report, an extension to the inquiry was sought by the Inquirer Mr Tony Power and approved by Minister Templeman.

 

This extends the duration of the inquiry to June 30, 2020 and will allow the Inquirer to finalise and present his findings.
