National Reconciliation Week is celebrated annually, from 27 May to 3 June, and recognises the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders’ histories, cultures and achievements.
The Reconciliation Week Street Banner Project has been running for the past 10 years, with sponsored banners on display in prominent locations throughout the WA community.
The project offers a positive contribution towards reconciliation and provides the opportunity for organisations to acknowledge the significant place of Aboriginal people and culture within the WA community.
Interested organisations are encouraged to sponsor one of more banners, which will feature their corporate logo and artwork from Western Australian Aboriginal artist Tee Jay Worrigal.
This year’s banners will also promote the National Reconciliation Week theme: More Than a Word. Reconciliation Takes Action.
Banners, which are available from $350, can form an integral part of an organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
