The latest round of Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) and Club Night Lights Program (CNLP) small grants funding has been announced.

The small grants round, which funds projects for the sum of between $7500 and $500,000, will support 25 community sport and recreation facilities in vital renovations, including upgrades to changing and playing facilities, and the upgrade or installation of venue lighting.

12 applications for funding through the CSRFF have been successful, as well as 13 through the CNLP.

Some of the projects funded in the latest small grants round of CSRFF and CNLP include:

  • $95,983 for the installation of a synthetic bowling green at the North Perth Bowling and Recreation Club
  • $200,000 for upgrades to floodlighting in Usher Park, Kalgoorlie
  • $135,000 for the installation of 100 lux LED floodlighting at Ranford Oval, Canning
  • $129,690 for the installation of a heat pump at Bridgetown Swimming Pool.

The funded projects amount to a total of more than $2 million, a significant investment in community sporting infrastructure across Western Australia.

This follows the announcement in 2023 that a further $15 million over 2 years had been allocated to the CSRFF, bringing the annual amount of available funding to $20 million per year, highlighting the State Government's commitment to ensuring that high quality, sustainable and accessible community facilities are available across WA.
