Coaches always up with the play
Coaches draw on years of experience as an athlete, as a mentor or just simply as a local community member to lend a helping
hand in the sport and recreation community.
Coaches have to be aware of the latest trends in diet, training methods and motivation techniques.
The department provides coaches with a wide range of resources,
including training clinics and access to the latest research, to ensure
they can keep WA athletes ahead of the pack.
Many of the training clinics also target local community
coaches who require basic skills to create a fun and safe environment
for children to be active.
